What time do we meet for the fishing charter?​

Meeting times will vary depending on the type and length of your charter, as well as the goals for the day.

Capt. Sally will contact you directly the day before your trip to coordinate the meeting time, location, and discuss your fishing goals to ensure an unforgettable experience on Baffin Bay.

What is your cancellation & rescheduling policy?

As a small business, cancellations can significantly impact us. We aim to treat our clients as we would want to be treated:

  • No Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable, but we will reschedule trips within one year for dangerous weather (determined by Capt. Sally).
  • Rescheduling: You may reschedule your trip with at least two weeks’ notice. Your deposit will be held for one year. Cancellations within two weeks of your trip will be charged the full amount.

What if it rains or there's bad weather?

We fish rain or shine, but your safety is always our top priority!

If Capt. Sally determines that the weather or other conditions make your trip unsafe, she may choose to call off the charter. In that case, we’ll do our best to reschedule your trip.

Your deposit will be held for up to one year, giving you plenty of time to book a new date.

Where do we meet for our charter?​

On the day of your charter, you’ll meet Capt. Sally directly at the boat.

Specific meeting locations will be confirmed the day before your trip when she contacts you to finalize details and discuss your fishing goals.

What can we expect to catch on our charter?​

On Capt. Sally’s fishing charters, we actively target:

  • Trophy Trout
  • Redfish
  • Sheepshead
  • Black Drum
  • Flounder
Can we keep our catch?

Yes, you can keep your catch, but keep in mind that regulations and seasons may apply to certain fish species. Be sure to ask Capt. Sally which fish can be kept during your charter.

Capt. Sally will clean and bag your fish for you to take home in your cooler.

If you prefer to practice “catch and release,” she offers a $50 per trip, per day discount for strictly catch-and-release fishing trips.

Are we allowed to tip the Captain?

Absolutely! Capt. Sally works hard to provide guests with exceptional fishing experiences.

Customarily, gratuities for a Captain are 20% or more of the cost of your charter and are greatly appreciated.

Do we need a fishing license?

YES!

All guests must bring a valid Texas Saltwater Fishing License for the charter.

Can we bring alcohol on a fishing charter?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring alcohol on your fishing charter. Capt. Sally provides an iced-down cooler to keep your drinks cold!

We kindly ask that you drink responsibly and avoid bringing glass containers.

What kind of boat will we be going out in?​

You’ll be fishing Baffin Bay’s waters aboard Capt. Sally’s 23′ Shoalwater Catamaran. This versatile boat is perfect for accessing the flats where you’ll be targeting trophy trout and redfish.

PLEASE NOTE: Capt. Sally’s primary fishing method is wading, and all charters use artificial lures only.

How many people can go on a fishing charter?

Capt. Sally’s fishing charters can accommodate up to 4 guests.

What if we would like to extend our charter?

Absolutely!

If you’d like to extend your trip, Capt. Sally will be happy to accommodate your request, provided her booking calendar allows for it.
